Pictures are from Zhuk book - it's like ABC for beginners, he book of such size cannot be 100% correct. BTW the same book has also picture of real SKT-36(38). There were custom war and post war modification fo SVT into carbine, and Zhuk put one of those into his book. Now to photos. If anyone wants to encourage unscrupulous Czech and Finnish gun dealers with some crazy $$$, then it's his right of course. However one could ask himself just a couple of questions: how come those SKTs are typical refurb mix and match? How come they have 1944 stocks or AVT-marked stocks? How come there is no manual for SKT-40, while there's for SVT-36(38)...
P.S. Just wanted to clarify. I'm not saying there were no SKT-40 or AKT-40, I don't remember all experiments Tokarev made with this platform, and carbines are not my area of interest (and yes, I think bubbaing SVT is bad). I just wanted to say that picture in Zhuk book is just field mod, and photo pictures you posted are well known fakes. That's it.
