scales....

I used to have a Lyman 1500XP but found it had a lot of drifting issues, especially if my cell phone was in the room. I bought an RCBS chargemaster combo and love it.
I would spend the extra money and get an auto dispensing scale. It really speeds up reloading. You won't regret it.

Sorry, I can't speak for those scales. I use the lee beam scale that came with my kit. The gravitational pull from the moon doesn't seem to be an issue. :nest:

I would like to just add some test weights just to be sure. But so far no issues.

Same, my crappy Lee beams scale has measured perfectly for me. Only complaint is that it takes too long to settle sometimes, but once I get going I'm checking every 5th load and it doesn;t really get in my way. I did pick up an old US-made Ohaus branded 10-10 beam that certainly settles much better, but I can't seem to get it to hit zero on a level surface, so I've never used it. I think it;s fine, I just need to do a little research or whatever to sort it out, but it's been busy lately.

I like the idea of an auto dispenser, but I think I'll wait to consider one until I've got some more experience.

Just bought a Chargemaster all I can say is what a relief!!

I have a Lyman 1200 and a chargemaster combo, Lyman faster machine chargemaster more accurate in my opinion.
I couldn't tell you about the hornady 1500 but should be a good scale too.

I use a Dillon beam scale and check it regularly with a set of RCBS weights. I've tried several digital scales and haven't found one yet that doesn't drift.

I only load for pistol calibres so once my Dillon powder dispenser is set it doesn't need further adjustments.
