This is my problem with any ammo I use with either of the two mags I own. Sometimes I can get about 7 of 10 shots off, sometimes only 3 of 10. Ive polished the feed ramp and bolt, removed all the burrs, cleaned the paint out of the bolt housing, cleaned and oiled the 2 mags, fixed the feed lips on the mag, cleaned the bore, and lightly re oiled with dry lube. Everything is moving smooth except If I cycle the bolt by hand, I can feel it catching on something inside as it slides forward (not the 22 round), but I dont know enough to know if thats normal or if it should run smooth.

Ive shot CCI mini mags, federal hollow point and winchester super x. CCI works the best but it still jams a lot.

Thats as far as it gets? Are the jammed rounds showing any indicators? shavings? half moons? will it load into battery if you push the charging handle forward? Go through it one variable at a time.

Id take it apart and manually slide the bolt along the mag as though it were loading a round to make sure the feed guides on the mag are travelling down the channels on the underside of the bolt properly.

Make sure the mag guide is held in the action plates properly, if even one tab is cracked or broke it can cause the mag to sit high and the bolt will ride it slowing it down.

If the feed lips on the mag are too opened the next round can sit up too high causing excess friction too.

Make sure the top of the action plates are burr-free so the bolt doesn't catch up on it.

If it's not deforming the bullets at all, it is likely unwanted friction coming from somewhere when the bolt closes. Find the friction.

Mag lips might be opened too wide and the round is popping up instead of being pushed forward. The rim looks to be jammed between the lips. The mag shouldnt allow the rim of the case to get that high. The case should be pushed through the mag lips forward into the chamber.

I've posted on rimfire central as well.. I just would like to get as many opinions as possible. My gun still does it even when I push the lips closer together. It just gets forced open again. Both mags do it. This gun works better as a club as of now. I get metal shavings from the .22 rounds from the jams in the action when I pull it apart. I think I might just have to call Marlin.

I did however pull the mags apart, clean, oil, and re assemble them. Haven't shot it since, its been to cold out. Hope this helps..

When the mag is in, it feels like when the bolt goes forward, it catching on the stopper for the mag or whatever it's called. #36

Another issue, I'm wondering if the bolt hasn't been milled out properly... I don't have a pic of the bolt yet, but I can get one.
