I just shot my Christmas present today, an 1941 Svt40 with corrosive ammo. Still pretty new to this gun, so I just put just a couple rounds through it aprox 30. Sprayed it with some wd40 before firing, when finnished sprayed it with some more wd40 at home, then ran a bore brush through it. The gun came leaver arms, didn't look like had much cosmolin through it. I will be shooting it again next weekend, do I need to pull the gun apart to properly clean it each time I shoot?

First I am no expert but I do clean my SKS every time I shoot it. I don't think its good to have corrosive salts in the gas tube or other workings no matter how many rounds. I use either hot water or windex, not sure how well WD40 is at dissolving salts, I've heard water or ammonia are the best. Someone more experienced might correct me though

Must clean everything after each session. take apart gun a use boiling water on the components. Especially the gas system. 1 night could rust. and grab some ballistol, instead of wd40.

Always clean the rifle after firing corossive ammo through it. Also, WD40 is not a good lubricant/cleaner. Buy proper chemicals for cleaning. You can use boiling water to flush the corossive residue out of the barrel.
