What would be a fair value for one of these?
It's a a model 9422 carbine.
It's a older one but in real nice condition.
Has a couple scratches in stock and shows some bluing but nothing major.
Has seen about 1000 rnds tops since new.
Thanks for any help.

I was curious about that as well (Magnum version). As well is there a difference in value between the xtr version to the classic?

Good, thanks. Just picked up a 9422M for $550. Bluing is excellent, wood has some marks on the butt stock, and front hood is missing, but overall very good condition, I would say. Previous owner thought might have shot 150 rounds in the 25 years he had it.

a couple of scratches, and bluing wear, likely closer to $600.

Yup that's what I ended up selling mine for

I passed up buying a brand new 9422M around '97 for about that price. I was only 11 (so my folks had to buy it for me) and I listened to my father when he told me to get a 12 gauge pump instead. Fast forward 17 years, the price has doubled (for a mint one), I still don't have one and that 12 gauge collects dust in my Dad's gun safe. I never used it very much because it was way to heavy to carry as a kid. Hell, I still don't use it.

I know, I know. Cool story bro, right? Just ranting and reflecting on what could have been. :( Enjoy those rifles boys. They're really cool.

My father gave me a 9422m that he had owned before I was even born.

I wouldn't sell it, but if I had to, it wouldn't be under $500. $700, a $1000? They're nice but I don't think they're worth that much.
