Good/Great news ,not sure where to post it but it has to do with ammo and firearms! The Canadian tire in Dartmouth crossing has some fed .22 525 packs for $25.99 she says it comes and goes fast ,I bought a box cause I don't have that brand and want to try it and left the rest for other guys/girls, they have a good amount of ammo and coming on a regular basis,,Now, the sports manager lady told me(and she was quite excited about it) that this store and a couple more were going to get back into selling guns again, rifles and shotguns! She informed me that CTC used to be the largest long gun retailer in Canada before the registry! The bad news, is they wanted to do it this year but with the demand in the U.S. they cannot get enough stock so it will for sure be next year! Next thing you know Sears and \Hudsons Bay will be back in too!

I can't remember the last time I went to Canadian Tire in Sydney that they didn't have Federal .22's.I usually buy a brick at least once a week.Never have a problem finding ammo here.Actually they started stocking 9mm,.38 spec and .45 acp a few weeks back.

Clayton Park Canadian Tire has firearms now, sks and some .22 along with a small amount of shotguns, Manager said just a taste of things to come with a huge order on the way, he wants to get back into firearms sale in a big way and will have a full row of long guns, ammo too! He wants feedback on what to order and what interests locals, I did advise him to join this site and perhaps become a sponsor, this is fantastic!

woo hoo! I live right next to the Clayton Park CDN Tire and have a $ 25 giftcard which is now going to be spent on firearms. Finally a national retailer in Halifax that can bring some competitive pricing.

Can anyone confirm if the Clayton Park Canadian Tire is recording info when selling non-restricteds? I have a pile of CT Money on my MasterCard that would look good converted into another rifle.

I don't think so but am going in now to cruise and talk to the Manager, I will ask they do ask to see your pal before opening the locker and ask if you have ammo on your person. He is having most of his staff trained to get PAL's, and trying hard to get them properly informed. He also mentioned a sort of grand opening and SALE of the firearms section when the reno's are done and guns arrive. If anyone wants something special or has ideas please let him know, he is quite receptive!
Oh yea the sks he has seem to be 1951's that I have seen. More crates to come!

The Guy at the counter said no taking or writing down your info just have to present your pal/rpal and if the guy in the picture looks like you,, then good to go! It's a big learning curve for them so go easy on them, don't want to scare them away! ;0) I showed them the cgn site and he was impressed with the # of hits,, I had no idea we had hits/ views ha, hoping they will become sponsors and contribute to the sport!

Outstanding. I will definitely be popping in. Now if the would cardy
reloading tools and supplies. Thanks for checking.

I always check Can Tires when I'm in on my weekly flyerbuy - found some CCI .22 Quiet at Dartmouth Crossing which I have never seen before so I snapped it up - haven't tried it yet. The Quinpool Rd. one often has more stock - not a lot of people buying in the city I guess. I have never had anyone try to copy my info into a B&E WishBook like I have heard others say - at any of the CTs or Wallyworlds.

That's GREAT news!! Hopefully they will have a good selection when they start getting guns in!

I've seen a lot of posts here saying that Canadian Tire and Walmart are recording info when ammo is purchased, but I've purchased ammo at both here in NS, and never had them record anything...

Check the Canadian Tire website, they have reloading supplies. Not a great selection yet, but I'm pretty sure that you can get any of the stores to bring it in.
