Steve's Gunz sells a ghost ring site to replace the safety. Just sayin'.

That's interesting, nothing more useless on an exposed hammer gun than a safety, glad to hear someone's figured out a use for the extra hole.
That is a sharp looking rifle, and 10 rounds of 454 should be a lot of fun....

:sok2 I've already got one of these in blue but a stainless one is sooooo tempting....If anyone is thinking about buying one of these, go for it. They're sweet! I can't comment on the top safety though. My'n doesn't have one.

i have had a blued one for 6 years or so now . it is easily one of my favorite rifles . the only thing that would make it better would be one in stainless .

with my rifle it did improve dramatically when i took the action apart and polished it .
it has always fed 454 and 45 colt flawlessly .
it is a light rifle ( something like 5 1/2 pounds ) , but i find the recoil similar to the Swedish mausers bolt rifles i have .

if there are any of these in stainless left in april i may pick one up .

i still think these would be a awesome rifle if chambered in 460 S&W .....and then maybe offer the same chambering in a stainless ranchhand

I have one and love it.
Shoot 45LC for fun in the indoor range, or 454Casull for more power.
Got 1850FPS with 300 grain bullets with only 29 grains of H110.
But if you want it to be more accurate, I suggest installing a peep sight and changing the front sight for something smaller.
