25 kmh to strong for #3 shot on ducks?

It's going to be blowing 10 to 25 kmh tomorrow when I go duck hunting. Will # 3 shot be blown all to hell on 30 to 35-yard passing duck shots?

I have some # 2 shot and BBs I could try too but the pellet count sure drops
 
The shot will get to where you place it. The size difference between a 3 and a BB is so small that the alteration of course is nil. And trust me the ducks are moving wayyyyyy faster than you think - aka be prepped for a quick shot and remember your lead
 
I am still duck hunting in region 2 (B.C) our season close on Jan.24 and I be duck hunting in next couple days with some 15-20km wind. I be using Kent's 3", no#1 & B.B's shots because they buck wind little better compare to my normal use of Kent's #2.

Being duck hunter for more than 45 years.
 
id agree, most my hunting ducks, any wind isnt enough to notice much movement at 1500fps and under 40 yards to get that lethal shot they still get crunched
 
When it is very windy (35 km plus wind) my first shot is in the water at a fallen tree in the water. This tells me how much wind effects the shot placement. I have had the pattern move up to 3 feet from the stationary target. Thats how much the wind is a factor in your shot placement.

You will find that you may have to lead them twice as much as you normally did.

Why would you lead the ducks more??? According to you, the wind is adding 3 feet of lead for you and keeping pace with a duck heading downwind... Of course after 40+ years of shooting at waterfowl I tend not to agree with your theory...
 
Managed to get a green wing teal, a widgeon and a mallard.

Lots of misses though, but it wasn't the wind's fault.
 
MD, anytime you can take a Green Winged Teal on the wing you are doing something right.
I know a guy who waits till the bitter end of legal light to try for a couple of them birds.
They are late fliers in the marsh and they are fast... tasty too.
