Rings for a Sako 375H&H and VX3 1.5-5??

I love the leupold ringmounts as they are inexpensive and sit low on Sako's. They have worked flawlessly on lower recoiling rilfes for me. Looking to mount a slim VX3 1.5-5 on the back of a fiberclass but are there better mounting options than the ringmounts? Am I pushing their limits in a 375?

I had the same set up with sako optilocks. They worked great but could have been a bit lower. And I have the low ones. Now on it I have optiloc base/extra low 30mm rings, and they clear a 50mm front lens perfectly... Go figure T

The optilock ringmounts are a solid setup, but i had to remove to recoil pin on the rear ring to get it forward enough to mount the scope. I think with your scope on that action, you will be best served by the leupold rings. After removing the pin, i have a really expensive setup that works no better than the leupolds.

Ive seen them on a .338 RUM and they held up fine.

With these rings you still need the bases to go on the dovetail. I was hoping they made a set to clamp right on the dovetail, but they don't.

The ones I posted the picture of above, clamp directly to the Sako receiver dovetails.

I see that now. Older manufacture I guess, nothing on Talley site now...
