Said to be 999.99 american. Now hopefully we will stop supporting importers charging a premium just because they can and the price wont be more then 1100 if its 999 in the u.s.

*Apparently its not a ar180 type rifle, i thought it was based on the ar180 which ment it was an ar180 just like a m16 is an ar15* I stand corrected, i do not know much about ar180s, although i do know enough to know how it works and what it is.

I'm pretty sure it will be available in 18 and 20 inch (comfirmed at 16.5 inches) (can we perm pin flash hiders on a 16.5 to make it 18 inchs and unrestricted ?)

Also considering if they keep the same rifle laws we have now wouldnt it automaticly not be restricted? I read ar180s ARE NOT RESTRICTED?

But then i read on another forum that ar180s ARE RESTRICTED because its an ar varient.

At first i thought since its not an ar15 it wont be restricted (unless banned by name) and then the only thing is getting an 18 inch barrel which i wouldnt be suprised if they have a 16-18-20 inch barrel version of this.

It is not an AR180B. It is similar to it. This may or may not get the unrestricted FRT since we know what the firearms lab is like. This will need a new FRT since it is not the 180B and also has a 16 inch barrel. Install longer barrel, adds to cost, adn submit it for the standard 2-3 year review?? hahaha I like the looks and ease of breakdown as well. Interested but not likely to see it for a couple years.

But as for the MPAR in the shot show 2013 section people are saying its comin to canada in non-res form?

It has AR in it name so that will raise a flag with the RCMP right away. AR180B is not restricted in Canada at this time. The MPAR556 does have a chance but with the long gun registry being gone that may make it difficult to get it in.

Dont get me wrong, if it shoots good and is non restricted I would buy one, it is the classing that worries me.

Everyone in the shot show 2013 forum got my excited. Also the MPAR is for master peice arms i believe.. Nothing to do with ArmaLite as far as i know.

Although canadian fire arm laws make no sence anyway so who the hell knows, they basicly just make it up on the spot;

Like how is a .22 lr gun that happends to look like an ak47 on the outside an ak variant? Its not. Or like the .22lr hk416d, its not an ar variant it has more in common with a rugersr22 but is dressed up on the outside.

How does looks define a variant ? I could have a bazooka that shoots 22lr and it would be BANNED because its a bazooka variant?

Ar180's are PROHIBITED.

Ar180b's are Non-Restricted or Restricted, depending on barrel length.

This is because the Ar180b uses a different receiver (lower receiver, the legal firearm) than the original Ar180.

On this rifle, I'd say it's a coin toss at best. The AR180 was built as a semi and prohibbed by name, the AR180B isn't prohib because it uses a different lower receiver and different trigger group then the original. This gun isn't a clean sheet design, so only time will tell.

Ya, except Blueline is not a sponsor anymore

They are still a business that submitted a firearm to the RCMP Lab to get an FRT #. The only difference is they don't have a forum where some of us can bombard them with requests for ETA's and price.

I am curious why they are no longer a sponsor and couldn't find anything.

But i dont understand, why was the original ar180 prohibted if it wasnt easily converted to full auto (as confirmed by a previous poster who answered that question). So they changed the lower reciever to make it non-restricted, what did they have to change? The only thing that makes sence to me was if i was easily converted to full auto

18" barrel is still considered restricted.
