AR15 Carbine buffer springs

Regular ones are like $5-$10 and work fine. I dunno how much benefit a premium spring would be. Maybe a variable rate spring would be of some interest.

I put the JP Custom carbine center-less ground and polished operating spring on my ARs.

I got to try one down south, a few years back. It removes a lot of the noise a standard spring makes.
They really make the action smooth. Gets rid of the sandy like feel when racking the AR.

+1 you can't beat the $20 dollar JP spring, the best IMHO

^^^This. I replaced the standard buffer spring in my DD with a JP tuned spring along with a Twang Buster pad and bye bye buffer tube "twang" sounds. Then again, most shooters don't notice that twang noise.

I'm gonna give these a try, just ordered one for my AR15 and P308.

Got these in the mail today. Installed it in my AR and man is it ever quiet now, the only noise you hear is the bolt locking. Whoever designed these is a genius. One of the only things I dislike about the AR platform is the sound that comes from the buffer tube, but now it's gone. I also bought the spring kits that come with 4 different springs with different spring weights.

Cool! Congrats. I thought about getting one of those but couldn't justify the steep cost. Nice thing about 'em is that they also replace the buffer.

Yeah I've been running one on my KAC SR15 for just over a year now, when I use my other ARs without it the twang is much more noticeable.. might have to buy a few more...

It's a bit steep in price I agree, but it's a sweet piece of kit!

Super smooth and quiet. No more need for that detent pin too.

Glad I ordered a couple back in late Dec before our dollar took an ever deeper plunge..
