Where can I find an NR ACR?

Hey guys, just wondering where I can find a NR Bushmaster ACR? Or if I was to buy a Restricted, where can I buy the NR barrels? And what is a good barrel to go with? Thanks

To buy a nr acr you'd have to look on the ee or pre order one. But If you buy one restricted someone sells barrels for 500. Can't remember who

Buying a restricted and sending it to herron arms for conversion is currently about the only proven way to get it done.
I wouldn't hold my breath for bushmasters nr version. I'll be shocked if we see it before next Christmas.

Starts with a D and ends with LASK ;)

Currently the cheapest way is to buy a restricted off the EE which are going for $2200-$2400 and then buy the Dlask barrel for $500 and swap your gas system over and then have it verified and reclassified.
Going though Herron arms is going to cost you $1000 on top of what you pay for your rifle, Herron probably does the best job out there right now and they use high quality barrel blanks to make your new one.

Keep in mind that once you have it verified and reclassified you can not legally put the restricted length barrel back in unless you call the CFO and have it re-registered as restricted. I'm not sure if there is a market for a factory 16 inch barrel so sending it to Herron where he ruins the original barrel by removing the barrel extension for the new one isn't all that bad.

IMO for that price I would buy a new one from Irunguns as you are just saving tax dollars at that inflated used price, there is currently one on the EE for $2700 and I don't see it selling anytime soon. I would only consider buying used if they were low round count and $1800 or less for the basic folder.

I am also not too keen on buying a restricted from someone out of province (non face to face deal) as wait times for a private restricted transfer can be very long, 3 months has been my recent experience in BC and other friends have seen similar times as of late.

3 months ? No way. I live in BC and I have been transfered few restricted during last few months and the longest one took 6 weeks

Also the US exchang rate went sky high this week (offical rate is 1.09 to 1 now. So the bank and credit card rate can be as high as 1.12-1.13)
the price advantage is a bit weaker from irunguns now

Btw just the info for OP
The factory NR ACR will be like DMR heavy barrel setup
Which is not something I perfer

Then buy one from IRG.
Why would you care how many rounds are through it if it's just going to get a new barrel anyway?
I've found brand new for $2500 in Edmonton and any other retailer should be able to match that (basic version with folder).
If you want one for $1800 you're going to be waiting a long time.
You can make all the lame excuses you want, but others will keep buying them and the price won't be going down much lower.
Best I've seen so far is $2100 and it didn't last long.
I like mine so much I'm considering buying another. Maybe the FDE one now.
Maybe you should buy my HK, no transfer to wait 3 months for.

waiting for the NR from bushmaster to arrive or a deal to come along, still waiting for updates on a 450 conversion too. I got lots of time it looks like, not in a rush.

I have the HK, wouldn't sell it unless the new version becomes a reality and I buy that, but will probably just keep it anyways. The 3 month wait is no joke, I sold a handgun to a friend after shortly after me and my friend had that experience and I am over the 3 months on this deal as of today.

Well I hope you're just unlucky, I sold an AR to a guy on Van Island, hope I don't have to wait 3 months to send him the lower.

It is not just me, I wouldn't have posted it at all If I didn't think it was a common problem, people at my range have had similar issues lately as have friends who are not even purchasing online.
