Single shot action and repeater stock?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has used a single shot action with a repeater stock? My favorite stock is made for a Rem 700 repeater, but I am thinking of putting a single shot remington action in it for F/TR, I can't think of why it would be a problem, just wondering if anyone had experience any adverse results when doing the same?
 
What single shot Rem action? The only single shot Remington 700 type action I am aware of is either a 40X which will fit into a SA stock and an XR100 which won't.

Yeah it's a 40X, just curious if the void where the magazine box would go would make any difference. I guess since the action has a solid bottom it shouldn't matter too much.
 
I'd rather no fill the void in case I want it to be a repeater again. I figured at the very least it should be not less accurate than a bedded repeater action, which can make for a very accurate rifle in itself. I guess I'll just have to try and see.
