I normally abhor adding any accessories to the SKS, but I actually really like the look of these mags. They did make the SKS-D once upon a time...
 
I personally love the look of a sks with a 30 rnd mag. It's the pimped out polymer ones that I think look disproportionate. But you know what they say, opinions are like a******s everybody's got one...lol
 
having seen an AK and SKS to compare i can say Kalashnikov was greatly inspired if not barely ripped-off Simonov design.
buying a mag that cost the price of the rifle is a bit overkill, so ill pass my turn.

^It can be done. Although with any 5/30 I've used to bench with you have to add a few more sand bags. I had to pick up two at that price. Wish I had the money to pick up more!
 
I'm looking at ordering a couple of these, but I'm getting the impression they are fixed in place once installed, like the original magazine. Is this the case, or can you swap them out with the magazine release like the Tapco/ Promag polymer magazines? I'm really hoping they are snap-in, drop out! Thanks!

I had these mags for my sks and yes they drop out.

hey john,

do you know where a guy could get a replacement mag foller> i think thats what there called? the green piece on mine is looking ruff as it gets smacked everytime the bolt slams into it for the hold open?

I completely agree. I like to keep my SKSs vanilla, but these mags look completely natural on this rifle. And at a great price which is not surprising coming from Wolverine.
 
Would it be possible to ''cut'' that magazine to convert it to a 5/10rnds or simply to a straight 5 rounds ?

If Wolverine could get some 5/10rnd I would be all over them.
