I did a search and never found any previous posts on this particular firearm, so please forgive me if I actually missed it and it has been questioned before.
Pretty simple though, does anyone here have any input on the Marlin Model Golden 39A? More specifically in a .22 LR.
My experience with Marlin rifles is good so far, but I have only ever owned 1 and of a much larger calibre. But I'm sort of looking for a nice, plain jane lever action 22. I love the look and feel of my other Marlin rifle, and the action is quite smooth, so I was hoping their quality is quite consistent among all their rifles.
I know the only true way to get a good feel for it is to actually handle it and use it myself, so I am going to check around to see if any stores have one I could handle. Of course actual use would mean that I already took the plunge and own it....
So I'd like to hear from any other forum members who may have had experience with this particular firearm. Also keep in mind I wouldn't be putting a scope on it, basically just leave it as it comes out of the box for shooting the odd gopher and mostly targets.
