Keltec SU16-FX

I got a call too from Reliable, there seems to be confusion, but all these rifles may in fact be restricted. Time to kick start another thread? I'll be measuring mine when I get back home tonight, but it did eyeball the same length as my AR with a 16' barrel. Fun times.

I couldn't get one of these through you because you were sold out, but I got one from Reliable gun yesterday. They shipped it out and I just got a call that all of these are being recalled back because they were shipped wit ha 16 inch barrel and are all actually restricted rifles, so they asked me to ship it directly back to them once I receive it. I just want a second source, can you confirm this?

We have had word from Vault Distribution that there are 16" models in Canada and we have verified this with the one we had in store. Vault is just trying to confirm with us if they "all" are restricted versions or if there are some 18.5" models out there as well. For those of you who have received shipment please measure from the receiver/barrel (about 1/4" in front of charging handle) to the beginning of the flash hider. If you have a 16" we will pre-pay shipping for you to return it to us. We have been told replacements WILL be available to those who have bought these 16" models. Let me know as well if any of you have a correct barrel length as well!

You can contact me direct at gary@wanstallsonline.com and we will take care of this for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience...

Gary

Of course let's break down the last 4 guns I have ordered in the last month

300 win (rusted barrel)
m38 (rusted barrel)
keltec sub2000 (4 days later with 1-2 day guaranteed priority shipping currently it is further away from my house then when originally shipped)
2 x keltec su-16fx (wrong length barrel)

this is getting a little ridiculous I dont have time to constantly ship stuff back

Would any type of disassembly turn this firearm from R to NR?

For the people who are worried about being in posession of a unregistered restricted with or without an RPAL, could disassembly be an option?

I'm nott familiar with how this rifle takes down. But seeing as how the receiver is not restricted, if the barrel and receiver are seperated you should not be in violation of any law, correct?

I know if you take the barrel off a prohibited handgun, the rest of the gun becomes restricted unless prohibited by name.

So, take the barrel off a restricted rifle and it becomes NR unless restricted by name?

Can anyone comment on this methodology?
