Ranch Hand Stock Ideas

I was wondering what members had come up with for stock options take the ranch hand style rifles more user friendly. I bought a full sized stock for it but it kind of defeats the purpose of how compact it is IMO. I keep looking at the under folder stocks coming for the 1022 and wonder if this is a plausible solution. Also thought about a quick attach piece of stock to clip on the existing part. Anyone seen or thought of anything for this?

I agree! folding stock would be great! I'm also looking for something to make it more accurate and a little less awkward to shoot my .44
Anyone have a review of this "quick attach" stock piece and/or know where to get one???

One member here made a T shaped extension.

Ideally it would be nice to be able to clip on a short extension with some sort of mechanical interface or physical key between the two.

A full stock is longer then necessary and could be shortened as well to keep things compact.

Single point sling, snap on saddle ring .Put around your shoulder,PUSH while shooting,fairly stable.Works for me.Good luck.

I've done some.tinkering with the sights but more stability would help tremendously. I was trying to order a seeall but have been having trouble getting through. There doesn't seem to be enough room in the stock to make a slide to make the metal but plate move out. All I keep coming back to is the under folder. Maybe router in twin slides on the sides of the stock. and attach them too the butt plate? The aftermarket one adds an extra 5 1/4" but 3" world work. Seems to be pretty accurate with the full stock on it too.

Edit, I was just digging around in the spare parts and tomorrow will go and see if they have a thick grind to fit recoil pad locally. The 1 1/4" thick remington one off my old shotgun might be enough.
