It will work, but it's crap. Just like aluminum cased ammo. Spend the money on brass cased ammo, it's maybe a dollar or two more a box for the cheap stuff.
Some people will also tell you that steel cased ammo will damage your chamber, not sure about that, but having steel on steel in your nice polished chamber will cause more wear and tear, but for the average shooter should be a non issue.

I have shot several thousand rounds of Brown Bear steel case and several more thousand rounds of Blazer aluminum through one of my cZ 75s with no ill effects.

I taught two classes this past weekend, about 6000 rounds down range from the students. The only ones who had trouble were those running steel cased ammo and aluminum cased ammo.
Then there was the parking lot fight because of those people polluting the spent casing pile with aluminum and steel cases.....

OP are you talking about copper washed steel case or steel jacketed projectile (bi-metal)?

This are the specs
9x19mm, TulAmmo, 115 Grain Full Metal Jacket Bullet, 50 Round Box, 1150 fps.

Manufactured at the Tula Cartridge works in Russia.
Polymer coated steel case.
Bimetal jacket (copper over steel) will attract a magnet.
Berdan Primed
Non corrosive.
Non reloadable.
