Thoughts on the Sako A7 - please provide

I have a few A-7s but unlike others here I actually took the bolt shroud off and gave it a look. It's made of steel and coated in plastic. So much for breakage. Lol.
As for the mag length issue, I notched the removable bullet bumper with a chainsaw file and now load 270 WSM ammo at 2.985

Well that was educational
I decided to take mine apart to see for myself. Now I know how to disassemble the bolt (after reading the owners manual bolt disassembly and reassembly instructions about 4 times), and HOLY CR*P is that thing under a lot of spring tension! Correct me if i'm wrong, but the lugs on the shroud that hold it all together under tension are just plastic right?
If anyone is not happy with the plastic bolt shroud, buy a Sako M85 stainless bolt shroud ($50) - it fits the Sako A7 perfectly and looks great.

Sorry not the same money, Cheaper. Browning A-bolt. Used Kimber, Sako finnlight, Weatherby ultralight. The A7 kind of lost me, isn't the T3 already an overpriced economy Sako. Not sure where it fits really. I do agree I had to think a little harder to find lightweight stainless, syn rifles to compare as I own wood. Biggest thing is this does not feel like an $1100+rifle at all unless bolt smoothness is the only quality indicator that you are concerned about as most T3 owners are.
What a stupid argument.. You are trying to tell us you can find a better rifle cheaper and then list used guns in the next class up, I could buy a used a7 too you know and it wouldnt cost retail to do. its obvious you just dislike sako and or synthetic stocks.
The T3 is cheaper than the a7 but doesnt include a $300 scope, it also has no metal in the clip, a way worse stock, a worse and different medium sized action/bolt. The only similarity between a t3 and a a7 is the barrel. you pay $200 more for an A7 than you do for a T3 and you get said $300 scope and a host of improvements.
Please! Let's not confuse the issue with facts.
Like I said above, I also bought a new SS A7, then traded it (+ plus a few hundred cash) for a new Sako M85.
Gained very little really over what I originally had. And now I don't know what to do with this $300 scope!!
Anyone want to trade a new scope for a walnut stock ?? .. (lol).
