New Inglis High Power Comes Home Pictures UP

As far as the DA and IVI ammo goes, that stuff was made to cycle through Sterling SMG's. It really is hot stuff for a pistol.

If you want to shoot this in your high power you might want to consider putting in a stronger recoil spring; especially if your existing spring is as old as the gun itself.

Just my opinion

All Canadian 9mm ammo since Canada joined NATO has been made to NATO spec for use in NATO firearms. The BHP pistols were used with NATO 9mm ammo and did just fine.

thanks for the pics fellas, didn't know that many variations to holster an hp

Some guys (particularly many paratroopers and tankers, who didn't want extra gear like holsters hanging off them to catch on things) didn't use holsters at all, and just carried their pistols in a pocket of their coveralls or crew suit -

thanks Grantr I also see the ring on the lanyard is a handy feature. I always thought the side arm was only worn at the hip

Hi Allison,

You're Inglis looks good, with lightly holster worn original finish.

I don't think anybody is still making those reproduction decals anymore.

A very common carry method for for the pistol in Afghanistan was in one of the chest pockets of the tactical vest .... state-of-the-art gear with the same old Inglis ....

Maybe i should post a pic or two of my Inglis pistols:

No. 1 (One of the pistols in this configuration given as post-war aid to Belgium, re-parkerized in Belgian service. The stock is a repro; i have since acquired an original but don't seem to have gotten around to taking a photo of the pistol mounted on it.)

Hi Grant,

Just one thing I must disagree with. This is not 'state of the art gear' but simply soldiers adopting to one of the worst tactical vests issued to NATO soldiers serving in Afghanistan. The vest is not modular, and this is simply one of the only practical options to mount the pistol on it.
