Unless you buy Norinco crap, 45 ammo and really cheap are a contradiction in terms. The cheapest non Norinco seems to be the 100 rd boxes of Winchester that Le Barons sells (when they have it) @ $39/100

Commercial reloaded ammo is the best way to go IMO. Cheap prices and availability is always there.

Custom Reloading Services, BDX, Budget Shooting, etc all pump out really good ammo for the price (between, $0.36 and $0.43/round).

Buy Norinco, shoot it for practice and then reload the brass with quality reloads.

this times a million....

if you shoot .45 and dont reload, you are doing it wrong...

or maybe you dont shoot much.

norinco ammo is just fine, aside from the dirty powder, it performs as well as the remington UMC stuff I had been buying previous,

as others have said, BDX and WOLF reloads for .45 are high quality, and on the cheaper side, but still 35-45 c a shot last I checked

reloading costs about 15 c a shot, and is tailored to your needs, and is as high of a quality as you can make it if you make it well.

I just got Thureon Defense .45 ACP and I'm thinking on doing reloading soon(for the first time) and if you can give a idea on how much it will cost me to get the equipment.

depends on how much you want/plan to shoot, how good your are with regards to mechanical skills, etc.

but i got started with a lee pro1000 for $150 used with 500 cast bullets in 45acp, add a powder scale (i got a cheap $30 that i smashed to pieces in anger then got a second one and later sold then got a $150 one), calipers from crappy tire on sale for $10-$15, and a reloading manual or 2 ($25).

so i will say expect to pay $450-500 for a decent setup. depending on how you look at things you either paid $520 for 1 box of ammo so your press is paid off now, or after 2-3k it's paid off.
