I'm new to the site and so far its great for research and there's a bunch of knowledgeable folks here. You're intellect appreciated!
So not only am I new to site, I'm also new to guns period. I've always liked firearms and have always wanted to learn to shoot. So recently I sent in my application for the PAL/RPAL and am looking forward to getting started.
I'm very thorough in my research and have quickly realized that going cross border shopping for guns and gun parts is pretty much a waste of time. Too bad though, some of those prices are hard to beat. However I have discovered that there are quite a number of great dealers online here and look forward to doing future business with them.
This leads me to my question; I live extremely close to the border here in Vancouver BC and want to know if anyone has any experience or knows if gun cases and gun safes fall under the the US Export laws? I seem to think not as they do not attached to a firearm in any way. From what I gather a good rule of thumb is that anything that is part of the firearm or can attach to it would require an export license. If some can enlighten me I would greatly appreciate it.
