Chest Rigs and Mags for your Black Rifle

Which mags are you having trouble getting out of a 10 speed? You need to wear the rig tight if you don't want it to ride up when pulling mags out.
Like I said, I haven't played with it much, I've only had it a couple days. Just from loading and unloading the Six Pack bandolier with mags I'm not sold.

I'll play with it more though. Just that my initial impression isn't very positive.

standard amount of mags for the inf guys overseas was 12. Most had about 8 on their chest double stacked and fit the other 4 whever they had room. Or the odd case had triple stack.

Is it worth it hell yea in a firefight you do not want to be reloading mags as your getting shot at and you tend to go through ammo faster than you can imagine especially if you are involved in more than one contact

What is legal in terms of vests (bullet proof), plate carriers (with plate), armour, etc to own and wear in BC?

I have researched it online and see conflicting information quite often along with people wearing various types at shooting events in BC.

it's not a problem until it is.
finding a source is another issue of its own.

Better contact your provincial CFO directly, in writing, to get the accurate information. Some provinces you need a PAL, some like in Qc anyone can purchase, sale, own and use them (surprising eh!).

Obviously there are no restrictions on buying and using the carriers themselves (yup, I've seen it asked).

what does the CFO in BC have to do with these items, you are not required to have a PAL to purchase in BC, that much I do know.

Eh?

Did you not just ask the board what the regulations were for the province of BC? These items are provincially regulated and who else, at the provincial level, will you call other than your provincial CFO (run by the BCPP, unless I'm mistaken that is) to get information?

In any event, look up BC Body Armour Control Act.

Google yielded the search result in a couple seconds.

what does that mean?

there are lots of retailers in canada, I don't see the problem in finding the items.

I dont think theres been a recorded instance where somebody wearing armour has been prosecuted.

There arent that many retailers. Only a few who can sell to civvies. And the choices are limited.

from what I have read/gathered online is that the restriction (if one exists) is not something governed by the chief firearms officer as you are not required to have a PAL/RPAL, etc to purchase the above mentioned items in BC, so what is the purpose of contacting him if he is not the regulator of these items as I have come to understand?

If I am wrong, please post the actual regulation in writing as I can't find it, Because as previously posted I see people with these items in BC at different shooting events.

this is what I have been looking for, thanks

Completely legal for licensed pal/rpal holders to have and purchase body armor in BC.

Some stores might not sell to you though, like DS Tactical in New West, I don't know why but it's like that... I wanted to buy their body armor and they told me no...

Thanks for all your input guys, this thread is awesome for info on this type of stuff. I have a question for those that have plates in theirs. I just recieved mine in the mail, when it's on to get the front plate down to my belly button the rear plate rides up a little higher. Just wondering if this is normal for you guys, or does your rear plate sit at the same height as the front? It's probably about 2 inches higher or so, it's still pretty comfortable just wondering if its normal.

do you honestly think ganbangers need permits to get anything or care about the law?

Do you honestly think he had any say in the law that was passed in BC? Other than voting for/against the people that make such retarded laws

And the reason that some place will not sell to the public is that the manufacture has stipulated that they only sell to police/gov

Because they sold body armour to bacon brothers(gang members) before... Rather than lose all the leo business they opted to only sell armour to cops. Was on the news when they were on trial for a shootout
