So im infatuated with this shotgun and have decided I must own it. Love the looks of it with the wood, reminds me of a trench shotgun.

My question is, am I able to swap barrels and can I put chokes in it? I love the looks of them with the 20 inch barrel but I have no need for a "defense or tactical" shotgun. I own one already and it doesn't come out of the safe. I would like to dink around with some skeet and trap on the farm with it mainly. So a choke or a longer barrel would be nice to be able to put on it for that then the original barrel for when its on the wall.

Too cool.

The wingmaster has a similar look would I have better luck with that?

They are indeed beautiful firearms. However the wood won't hold well - especially the one found on the new models.
You may be better served with older Wingmaster instead.

to answer your question yes you can put a barrel on this gun from another 870. get a barrel that is threaded for choke tubes and have at it .it is a simple one minute procedure to change barrels .

That's what I thought ! Thanks !

As for the wood, its ok ill buy a few sets on ebay. Black synth isn't going on this gun ! already have a moss 500 for the "home defence/tactical" its a damn safe queen... Quite useless lol

I have the 870 police 18 inch with walnut. The walnut looks great. Mine has the 2 shot extension, though, which would look silly with the longer barrel. I think your only option for a police is to go parkerized, orrrr get a wingmaster and get a shorter barrel to have a police blued. :)
