Just a note for those interested, TSC has Walnut Abrasive media on sale this week for $20/50lb

It is 18-40, which is a medium fine grit, finer than most commercial tumbler media and finer than lizzard bedding.

This is 20-40 grit. The coin is a nickel.

princess auto has the same stuff . you need to use used dryer sheets for the first few uses to beat the dust . using the sheets every time works well @ keeping the media clean & extending it's life span .

That would explain why I've never heard of it.

Had a look at it today, its way finer than lizzard bedding, like coarse sand. Too fine IMO, but thanks for the heads up.
