I did a couple of searches and can't seem to find the write up I'm looking for.

I remember someone did a write up on removing the dimples and modifying the follower in a DA 8.5 tube magazine so you could fit an extra round in. I want to do this and add a 1 round tube extension to get it up to 4 rounds in the tube for travel in bear country.

Can someone point me to that write up?

Thanks in advance, C.

you take the plastic part out put a smaller follower in and done. If you leave the orginal plastic follower in it can get stuck on the dimple unless you remove it I just replaced the follower with an NEA metal one works good.

Most have been useing our mossberg follower , its has the slots in the sides to get passed the dedents, our remington type 3 follower. Is the same other then its a few thou wider, the DA gun has a metric size tube and the mossberg follower is closer to the correct size

Are we talking about the mossberg no jamb short follower then?

yes
