While I had all the equipment for a while, I recently got a new bench. I did not want everything bolted down which in turn would use up a lot of my bench space. I asked this question on here a few months back, and someone suggested T-track.

The bench set up ready to get routed.

im curious how rigid these are...

i love how clean this setup looks and the modularity is a big plus.... id like to do this for my next bench... i got more crap on my tiny 4' x2' bench than anyone else
 
Good concept. Interested to see how that t-track will hold up to working a press. There's a lot of up/down motion and those t-tracks are held in by small screws on plywood? Might be worth gluing the tracks down as well as the screws.
 
It looks like u have lots of room there. For mine I did 3/4 inch plywood on top of 2x10s secured to walls, absolutely no movement when working my dillion 550b on 9mm to 300wm rounds

Your setup if fine, just tie your table in to the wall and you're good. When it comes to stability, your bench either has to be tied in/built in or very heavy. As far as the T track is concerned, I have 1 1/4" wood screws spaces 6" apart going into 3 layers of 3/4" ply so needless to say, it's plenty strong.
 
Here is the T-track installed; it was a snug fit, and had to be tapped in with hammer. I put in 1/2" screws every 6" to keep everything tight.


An example of the the board I have to mount my presses, bench vise, or anything else that might be needed.


It's almost done, I just need to pick up some short bolts, and a new drill bit. Everything seems to lock up solid, and am pretty happy with it so far. Will see if anything changes with the presses on; which hopefully it won't.
 
What I did to enable modularity was I put a mounting plate on the bottom of the work surface made of 1/4" steel.

I drilled through the work surface, and tapped the 1/4" steel.

I then made 3 separate bases that used the same profile mounting hole placement, and had one each for:

-RCBS Single Stage press

-Dillon 550B

-Bench Vise

This worked very well in my old house, I have not (yet) hooked it up in the new house.

You have any pics of that set up? I was looking into something similar with the rock dock system; however, didn't work with the strong mount, but never thought about doing it this way.
