CZ858 Floding Stock Removal Help Please

Hello

Could someone help me?

I have a CZ858 with a folding stock and want to remove it.

The problem is, is that the screw is so tight, my screwdriver is starting to strip the screw.

Can anyone suggest what I can do to get this screw out?

Get yourself an impact screwdriver. Its one of those tool where u hit the end of it with a hammer and it turns the screw left or right...check motorcycle shop they normaly have them
 
Best way to do it is remove the bolt lean the rifle against the wall and spray some wd 40 on the bolt from inside.
After few hours it is best to gently clamp the rifle in the vise (use some wood to protect paint finnish)

Get the biggest flat head screwdriver you can get, clamp a wrench to the screwdriver for extra leverage

Once ready push the screwdriver with your hand or body so it sits tight and turn it

Thanks for the replies.

I have used WD40, an impact screwdriver and an impact drill. All I managed to accomplish was wrecking my drill bits and such and destroying about 90% of the screw slot grip almost stripping it.

AHHHH! lol

What now?
 
If it were my gun, id drill out the bolt and rethread the reciever. But im also balsy like that lol.
Soak the whole thing in wd40 and try heating the piss out of it with a heat gun or propane torch if it was thread locked.
Go to cdn tire and get yourself a set of special stripped screw removal bits.

And whatever you do, dont mess around with it if the bit doesnt fit well! That will quickly worsen it.
Clean it iup with small dremel bits if you have too.
But heat should be your best friend

Nailed it.

Mine was insanely hard to get out. I bought a flat head socket bit, and then had my friend shave it down to make it wider so it would fit inside the slot perfectly. This worked great.
 
At this point an easy out would be your best bet. And ditch the WD40, get something good like PB blaster. It works way faster for me. Drill it, hammer in a large easy out then use a ratchet. Unless the folding stock is going back on then you don't need the old bolt as the folder is the only stock it fits.
 
I wouldn't throw the bolt away , you can still deepen the slot with a dremel and use it in the mean time .
 
What has worked for others is to cut the stock between the screw head and the receiver to relieve the pressure on the screw. Works 100% of the time and the stock can be epoxied back together with saw dust as a filler if one really needs to keep that item. Most people don’t if they go this route
