Pin 14.5" comp to change barrel length to 16"?

Not accepted here, but should meet US requirements.
Don't know how you could handle that for entry into the US.
 
I have looked into this as well and unfortunately the US only recognizes the barrel length of the originating Country so here in Canada you can pin/weld anything you want onto the barrel and it does not change the actual barrel length as measured. So it would be forever in our systems as a 14.5" barrel and when you register to take it to the US it will come to them for approval as a 14.5" and be denied entry.

Isn't this just a phone call to the registry though. I changed blah blah to this length and and am now whatever length. How does that process work?
 
if it is PINNED PERMANENTLY, then US should ok it. after all, that is how their guns are made. just list the barrel length as 16. what is in our regristry doesnt matter. one of my guns has a 14.5/perm attached flash hider and that goes south all the time. registered here a a frame only.

No, pinning the flash hider does nothing for barrel length here. If you do need to change the length with the CFC you just call them and tell them what the new barrel length is and they will send you a new registration cert with the corrected length.
