For you Grand Power owners, is there much of a difference between the X-Trim and the MK7? Should a guy spend the extra $100 and pick up the X-Trim?

Guys who have them like the racy lines of the X-Trim. I have the Mk7, for two reasons: I prefer the look of fixed sights, and it was the variant offered with variable backstraps. Having said that, the gun is a good shooter, but, I do find the Mk7 rear sight to be on the small side.[/QUOTE]
You can swap out the MK7 rear sight easily. The Dynamic rear sight from the X-Trim will fit in the standard dovetail.

Good to know. Who would you order the part from?
I really don't think there's much of a difference between the x-trim and mk7. Just weight and maybe a keener eye was used on the x-trim.

Give Dlask a call. My guess is they will have the Dynamic sights on the next order.

Thanks...small sights and middle aged eyes...you know how it is.
+1 for the Grand Power's. The interchangeable back straps make for a great fit. The grip angle lends itself to accurate shooting and the trigger is the jewel in the crown.
Combine all this with the cheap price on gun itself and for spare mags make the decision a no-brainer.
STI 1911 Spartan is a nice starter pistil..
