I want to change the scopes of at least 3 of my best rifles this year, all should start with the arrival of the Elcan Specter 1X3X9 ( when my dealer get it), that what i want for my Ruger SR 762 AR... 2014 is the year of the scope... JP.

I'm thinking about parting my hair on the other side this year and possibly getting a cat. Just not sure how the dog is going to react,

I'm hoping to paint my fence and get a new bag of Niger seed for the finch feeder. Also plan on meeting someone named Bob in 2014.
 
You guys can make all the fun in the world with that, i have no problems with that, having recovered my 20/20 sight have opened up to me the joy of getting top shelves optics... Now that i will be able to use them at their fullest, sky is the limit.... JP.
 
JP, what exactly brought you to pick up the Elcan, but more importantly, for the Ruger in 7.62, which I assume (perhaps incorrectly) that you'll be using off a bench 95%+ of the time, for shots at longer ranges that would nullify the 1x and 3x features of the scope (1x with the red dot and 3x with ranging reticle).

So will you benefit from it 100% Vs the cost of the scope itself is what I'm getting at.
 
9X will be fine at the range, i am max out to 200 yards for restricted, 9X is quite puny for 300 metres to 1000 metres that i will be able to used with my NR rifles... At some point, i will make some experiments with the Elcan, could be at home on a DD MK18, only trial and error will make it right, shopping this morning for a Hendsolt 4X16X56 FFP look pretty interresting for a rifle like a Sig SSG 3000, this scope is full tactical territory... JP.
 
Just got contacted by the canadian dealer for March scopes, he will send me infos and prices.... The 3X24X42 FFP seem to be about what i am looking for.... JP.

I am good to go, the majority of people have a gun room, i have a hole house of gun room since this house will be teared down in 2015 as the 27.000 sq feets of land is worth a lot more than the house... JP.
