So im thinking of putting an old school Elcan on my M17 and sending it off to arma coat to get it coated tan colour.

What do you guys think. ? Should I do the whole thing in Tan or 2 tone ?

How about burnt bronze? If you go half and half, it sorta looks like you are going for looks, rather then function. I'd say go all in or go home.
 
Ok, I'm out of the loop. Who are importing these?? Or is it a one off rarity?? How much are these going for?? When will they be available for the masses?? Sorry for the hijack:(

It's not new, they aren't even manufactured anymore by bushmaster. You either have to wait for someone like irunguns to get one or buy one off gunbroker and have it exported out of the US.

A little bit of background about the bushmaster version and K&M.

My K&M modified bushmaster should arrive within the next week or so. I'll post up pics. I went with a tan color on my upper, black on the polymer lower.
 
How'd you manage the logistics of getting it modified by K&M? I thought they wouldn't take the whole gun...just the upper. Or did IRG come through for you? I'm tempted to put my name in on the K&M Arms preorder but don't want to run into the CFC saying it needs a new FRT due to the billet lower.

K&M aerospace is the companies "old" persona. From when they weren't an FFL arms manufacturer. Ken has now changed the company to K&M Arms and has an FFL. He can accept complete guns now and is working on his own M17s variant with several upgraded features.

I won an original m17s on GB, sent it to K&M as my FFL, and had him do the work. He then shipped it to IRG for import. Both K&M and IRG are in Arizona so it wasn't too costly shipping wise. It worked out well as Ken found an issue with my gun do to the previous over tightening a bolt that had mis-sharpen the hole in the aluminum upper. He fixed it and all is good.

K&M can't ship parts so it was the only way to get the build I wanted. Ken is looking to focus on his own designs production and sales so anyone wanting to do custom work should contact him first before just sending him a gun.

K&M hopes to make a NR version of their m17s for sale in Canada as well.
