Kind of a dumb question, but could someone please tell me or post a pic of how to attach a BFG Vickers sling to my AR ?
I have only used the Magpul MS3 sling in the past and would like to try out the BFG after hearing all the positive feedback on them.
Thanks

Ha ha. I was in the same boat as you. I think what the vickers sling gains in versatility, it looses in quality. It does 1,2 and 3 point ok, but not as good as a dedicated 1,2 or three point would.

What do you have for sling attachments on the front and rear?

It will attach to any buttstock that has a slit in it by threading through that slit and into a tri glide on the other side. On the front, by attaching to a sling loop using the ladder locks.

I'll post some pics up in a few minutes.

My favorite method though is push button on the front and push button on the rear, but to the opposite side of the buttstock as your cheek.

Ummmm, you sure you have the right sling?!?!

1 and 2 point both have their pros and cons depending on circumstances. 3 point slings on an AR is just all cons all the time.

I should. I bought it off you:D . Let me clarify that it is faultless in construction. Perfection even. I was referring to the design quality in that I find the whole thing fiddley. OP rather common question speaks to that as well.

I should add that I ended up sticking to a single point config with a mash hook.

VCAS used with our Push Button Triglide to create a single point sling. Push Button attachment into the cup behind the action.

Not to sure how you were able to make a 3 point sling out of the VCAS.

As for quality, it's the best quality sling on the market. Everything else except the new Magpul ones are basically seat belt webbing.

I currently have a Magpul MOE fixed on the back side and A 15" Midwest FF up front with on the full top rail as I find the quad railed ones way to big for me. I guess I'm gonna need some kind of attachment point up front.

With the MOE you can thread the sling through the slit.

Take off one of the triglides on the back end of the sling. Feed the sling through the slit. Slide the triglide onto the sling the same as how it was already on, however take the tail of the sling and loop it back through the first opening on the triglide on top of the sling.

On the front if you have no rails except for the top you can:

1) Use a wire loop through a hole in the forend
2) Use a Fortis Push button rail attachment on the top rail with push button
3) Use a Magpul RAS on the top rail with Mash or HK hook
4) Attach a rail or push button adaptor to the side of the forend

I've got 4 VCASs, all on different guns (not ARs), all set up slightly different. I'd like to get a different sling one day, but I'll never be able to bring myself to do it because I know what I'm missing.

The Vickers sling IS a dedicated 2 point sling.

I'll leave that argument between you and the BFG website. They say 1 or 2 point. I do stand corrected on the three point, that was based on an assumption about all the fiddledy bits I just assumed there was more to it. (Again google questions on the sling, like the OP questions abound.)

I also added a bfg mash clip and am using it as a single. So there is that.

Where are you getting that Tavor with the shorty rail on the top? I prefer that setup but am only seeing rifles for sale with full length rails.

Is it an after market set up?

Go back. Waaay back. Then buy all these crazy parts before North Sylva had even whispered IWI's name.

Its from . . . 2008? something like that. And yes, I generally get 2-4 emails a day from American's asking where they can buy one. As far as I know its out of production entirely.
