My understanding is that the 16 gauge you are offering is a break down gun like the 12 gauge backpacker you are also selling.

Are the parts interchangeable between the two models?

Can I use the 16 gauge barrel on the 12 gauge backpacker?

Is the fore wood on the 16 gauge interchangeable with the fore wood on the 12 gauge backpacker?

Is the receiver the same on both models?

If this is true the 16 gauge is good deal for a parts gun and spare barrel.

Thanks for the reply. I already own the backpacker and have killed at least 12 grouse with it this fall.

Will most likely pick up the 16 gauge for the spare parts.

Look forward to dealing with you again.

Just got my backpacker in. It is completely loose at the hinge and there is a small gap where the barrel meets the stock. When you shake the the gun side to side you can see and hear the barrel toggle. Is this normal and safe to shoot? I had purchased a Dominion Outlaw (Norinco JW2000) as well which is very tight and locks up solid and stiff unlike the backpacker.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry can't edit the title must be a dealer only thing.

At least a lot of you have been shocked by the 2 gauge google. (not even going to do that)

Backpacker quality can vary. Mine had no checkering on the fore wood but not on the stock. Once I shot a few slug through it I had to take the tire iron out and tighten the stock back into the receiver.

I love the gun and do a lot of prospecting and find it a great bush gun.

I need to tighten mine too. What sort of tire iron do I need?

I have 1978 Vandura Chev RV and I used the tire iron that came with the RV. Only reason I used the tire iron is because it had a standard blade screw driver on one end to pop off hub caps. This was long enough to fit down the stock and re-tighten the screw
