Just picked up a Norc NP29 to do some pissing around with...

I quickly ran through the gun last night checking the extractor tension, applying skateboard tape, painting the terrible sights, getting used to using a safety again etc...

I checked the supplied mags to see if they cleared the ejector. Then I checked a Wilson ETM 10 rounders.

The supplied mags were fine:

The ETM's? No good:

I'll have to relieve the underside of the ejector a bit or risk breaking the ejector when slamming home a mag during a reload. Just a public service announcement for you other guys using ETM's. Actually, it probably good to check the clearance on other brands of 9mm 1911's as well.

^^ AFAIK the ETM 10's have a little bit longer body than standard. They work fine in some guns, not in others.

Expecting a Norc to be in spec is like expecting Rob Ford to stay away from fast food....or booze....

Neither the Norc or the magazine are out of spec. These new Wilsons are designed to hold the mag higher in the frame to help feeding of the round into the chamber. The Tripp Cobras also sit higher than standard mags.As mentioned, you will need to check ejector clearance, and trim as necessary.I found this out the hard way when I ended up bending an ejector on my STI by not checking this.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about the cobra's as I try to find mags the Norc will like the most. If it likes the ETM's I'll probably just standardise to them.
