More Savage Stocks?

Hey MDT.

First off I want to say that it is great that a local company is doing well. I am very impressed with the quality of my Savage LSS chassis.

I was wondering if you have any other Savage chassis in mind? I would like to see a long action chassis. Most of all an LSS chassis for the Axis would be awesome for a hunting rifle build for my son (adjustable LOP and reliable detachable mags). I might even build one for myself as well!

The answer to other Savage chassis is YES.
The Long Action chassis in LSS is almost complete. Ready to release at the end of January.
TAC21 for Savage LA will be mid 2014
Axis - We are looking at it, and there is good potential. We get asked about this action all the time, so we're taking a good look!
 
have you had a chance to look at the savage system that has the bottom bolt release?
how will it affect the LSS stock?
im looking at using the LSS stock on a savage model 10 TR.

Yes we are looking at it. There is a SEAR that Savage sells, Brownells has it too for Savage. It is our understanding that this part can be used. We are meeting with Savage next week to confirm, or see if there are other options. Stay tuned....

great to hear. i wanted to use a TAC21 chassis for my Savage 10TR.

Awesome! I posted pics of my LSS stock on Savage Shooters and it generated interest. Right now there are a lot of Axis owners looking for a stock to replace the crappy synthetic one. So far the only replacements are Boyd's and Sharp Shooter Supplies (about to be released).

I would rather support a Canadian company and the LSS stock seems like a far better option than the other ones out there.
