Look what arrived today

Have you got screws holding that thing to your bench..?

Better to drill some holes in tgat bench and use thru-bolts.

What make dies did you get?? I am having a hell of a time getting dies for my new Dillon RL 550B....Do Lee dies work in it just as well?? Too new to reloading and my head is about to explode with all the products out there !!!!

Ordered my dies from md Gardner. They are Dillon.

My bench is laminated 2x4 with 3/4" plywood glued and screwed to the top. Those screws are 4" #8 deck screws. You couldn't pull that press off of that bench with a Dozer.

You will like that one! I upgraded last summer to the 550B & have loaded .32 Long/Mag., .38/.357, .44 Mag, & .45 ACP/Colt with good results. Go slow when you first start loading on it. Once you get it set properly & get the various stations clear in your head, in time you will pick up speed.

Your goal is making good ammo. I like to load 100 rounds at a time & take a break, but I don't shoot much in the winter anyhow....

There are lots of really good youtube videos to watch, your instruction guide, there is also a forum on the Dillon website, & here on the CGN to help with any concern you may have with it.

Enjoy your new press, great choice!

Thanks....But every company makes the BEST !!! I have heard good thing about the LEE carbide dies??

I use both Lee and Dillon dies. Both work fine. The only issues I have is the lock nuts for Lee are 1 1/8" and the Dillon are 1". That makes the Dillon a little easier to lock of. In terms of performance I haven't noticed any difference.
