Shell catcher in Sporting Clays might not be a bad idea after witnessing, and partaking, in the mad scramble to clean stations or collect hulls for those of us in the reloading "hobby". Additionally, those score keepers standing next to you would love you more.

Mind you, I'm not sure how well the multi-shell catchers work. I can't see the ones catching only one shell to be much use on a true pair, but I don't have much, if any, experience with them.

Multi-shell catchers don't work worth a damn. The single shell catchers are great for trap shooting if your hull is hitting the shooter beside you. Scorers that stand too close to the station and get bopped by flying hulls from a semi have only themselves to blame.
 
Feel is Key, work within your buget cause nothing is worst than owning a safe queen that you cant afford to shoot.

I Love the SBE2, and SX3, but went with the Versa Max and cant complain. the gas system is fantastic, and even shooting in the cold, throwing clays for a friend then shooting some more, no problems at all with the gas system and recoil is awesome.

The UGB-25 needs almost no cleaning it doesn't have a gas system. The only thing that needs a clean is the chamber occasionally to stop extraction problems. It can easily shoot 8 flats without a substantial clean.

Doesn't Beretta recommend that the action be stripped and cleaned every 2500rds? I seem to recall my buddy, who owns one, telling me that it takes a gunsmith with specialized tools an hour or so to completely disassemble. Could be wrong...I'll have to ask him this weekend.
 
8 flats. Is 2000 rounds.

It takes 3 mins to totally strip down a UGB-25. It is easier than the a400. It is however not tool less. Requires two tools that both come with the gun. The tools are two punches.
It breaks down into the trigger group, barrel, receiver and bolt carrier.

I recently purchased the Remington 1100 Competition model which has a very adjustable stock in carbon fiber. Extended choke tubes and good sights. Price is around 1,100.00 . I have had many others in the past and wanted to get back into clay shooting again. I have only tried it for trap so far, but I think the fit is so good, it should be good for sporting clays as well. So far, it works like a charm and I am very happy with it. Not meant for hunting though.

I will go to the store and shoulder some, but I have had my eye on the benelli supersport. mostly just because I like the look of it.

cleaning is certainly a concern. is gas or inertia easier to clean?

Choosing a shotgun based on looks, is about the biggest mistake that you can make. If a shotgun doesn't fit, you won't shoot is as well, regardless of how it looks.
 
I like my browning maxus(sporting carbon fibre)seems easy enough to clean, which I don't do very often. I've only put maybe 2000 rnds. through it but haven't had a single malfunction. And I've only cleaned it once. I know a few other people with a maxus and haven't heard any complaints yet
