Get a .22LR! A Ruger Mk. 3 or a Browning Buckmark. As previously mentioned, don't develop bad habits. Stance, grip, sight picture, breathing, flinch avoidance, safety. Ammo is cheap. Practice often. Get help from a firearms instructor if possible. I know 22s aren't ###y but you will not regret your purchase. It is a gun you can train others when you have mastered it. Shooting a handgun isn't much fun if you can't hit what you aim at and a 22 can definitely improve your odds when you get your next big banger! Buying guns are like eating peanuts, you can't stop at one! Look at 9mm or 45 when you can start grouping with consistency. Good luck, have fun and be safe!
