Got into an argument about how glock magazines come pinned to 10. I say it's all done using the same method by glock, he says the importer does it and there are different methods.

Post your glock mags, and the method by which they are pinned. Pics help. Come on gunnutz, together we can crush ignorance.

I am no expert by any means, but from what I understand, Glock does not pin their mags; this is why they are so difficult to get in Canada (Glock factory mags). The mags must be pinned before entering Canada and is up to the importer to arrange that.

The ones I have were done by Police ordnance and are riveted. Always done in Canada AKAIK. I have seen big chunks of plastic in a few over the years. (much prefer pinning.) Or better yet, get rid of that stupid law.

The only Glock factory 10 rounders I've ever seen came with plastic molded onto the base of the spring to block it to 10. From what I was told they were purpose designed for NYPD when they went to semi's back in the early 90's but mandated a 10 round mag cap. That coincided with our bs mag cap ban and a few others in the states. When most of their bans went away so did most of the Glock mags ( Pretty sure NYPD dumped the 10 round cap a few years after it started ).

Now that Cali and a bunch of other places are back to blaming gun owners for causing crime the supply of 10 round mags is going back up.

Most of the rivet jobs you see are done by dealers before the mags cross over the border.

Never seen a plastic plug in a glock mag and definitely not factory.

The factory 10 round magazine has a rib moulded into the steel liner that changes your magazine from a double stack to a single stack. It cannot be rendered "full" capacity by any means. The factory 17 round mags are usually riveted in the number 13 witness hole.

This was a Sporteque thing and not from the Glock Factory conversion. If you want a 10rd mag, Glock sells you a 10 rd mag, not a 10/17.

I have both 10 round mags & riveted 10/17 mags & of course 10/33 mags. I wish they would change the regulation of 10 rounds . I've already written the RCMP & government about them changing it .

I have 3 factory 10 rounders for the G19.
I have some glock 10/17 with inside plugs from Sporteque for the G17.
I got two real glock 10/33 from NR and are blocked with rivet.
I need more glock mags lol

Wish I had got some more 10/17 from Sporteque before they had problem... and they were so cheap :(

This is correct. Internally the 10 rounders are a completely different structure from the 17 rounders.

What problem? I bought a few of the G17 and G22 mags from them that have the plug in them. They used to sell the plugs seperately for 3 or 4 bucks each.
