1/2 x 28 tap

Thanks guys. I'll look them up today.

So I called KBC.

They do indeed sell these taps. Currently they are $14.04/ea.

KBC has a $25 order minimum for shipping, so I ordered two.

KBC turned out awesome. I got my tap and a ratcheting handle. Shipping was a little crazy cause I asked for a catalogue.

Don't feel bad.
You need the catalogue to really see what they have.
The on-line site is great for specials etc. but searching for specific items without a part number doesn't always work.

Also:
$14 is pretty cheap for a tap that size, I'm guessing you went for the 'KBC' brand which is Chinese.
If you ever need another tap, maybe of a smaller size, go for one made in the USA and relish the difference.
I have Chinese machines because I can't afford the best, and I have American cutters because I can't afford Chinese. They work together well.
 
Ackands and Napa dont sell them so went to a farm parts place and they wanted $55 now I am going to get one from Kbc thank you.

Says the tap was made by Toolmex USA.
 
Anyone interested in ordering from KBC; the part number for the tap is 1-372-212 1/2-28 HS Special Tap @ $14.04 and the Tap Wrench is 1-397-004 12-1/2IN KBC Ratchet Tap Wrench @ $14.72.

They ship fast, and with tracking.

I really like the ratcheting wrench. Never had a tap wrench like that before, but it sure does save a tonne of wear on the wrist.
