My new Norinco chrome 1911 UPDATED PICS!

I just ordered a couple of Mitchell Custom left hand operated mag releases for two of my wife's IPSC 1911's. google a video showing their installation and operation. Not cheap at $135 a pop, but if you need it .....

Righties are buying it as well, operating it with their trigger finger. Keeps it out of the trigger guard on a mag change. Been there - done that .....

I like it. Wouldn't work for me with that mag release, being left handed, but it should work fine for righties!

Can Am bringing in some good stuff for us, eh?

Info like this is why I trawl the threads here. Thanks!

Did you buy it from the manufacturer direct?

Naw, I didn't have much trouble adapting to the standard controls and operate the mag and slide releases wit my trigger finger quite well. I just couldn't work the OP's pistol with that massive button chafing my hand is all.

only thing i dont like about this pistol is the chromed sights! looks retarded you always want them to be black to cut down glare .. anyone know aftermarket sights that fit norinco dovetails??

The blued controls are kind of goofy, too. To my mind, if you're going to hard chrome anything on a pistol, the parts that are in contact with your shooting hand (and therefore sweat) would benefit most from it.

The rear sight looks to be a copy of the LPA sight, but I couldn't say for sure.

Yep...
I'd have to swap out all that blued crap for matte stainless..... Or send them off to be chromed.....#### I wish they could just make one 1911 I could live with as is....lol

I have a kimber I wanted to swap all the Matt stainless parts for black, but after reading this maybe I'll let it be.

Well pulled the trigger....####....soo don't need another 45 or 1911

Well, buddy, I don't have a .45, and I only have one 1911, and my birthday is coming up, so can you hook a fellow Girsan lover up. Please. LOL. Just sayin', since you admitted you don't really need it. I'll give it a good home.

Thanks a lot Hitzy - now I "need" another. I went ape#### on the $499.00 deal and thought I was cured.

I don't know what it is....I see a good deal and I gotta bite. Got 2 of those Girsan Beretta clones, 2 of the FEG BHP clones, now one of these.....all in the last 6 months.
Good thing I bought a larger safe in the summer!

Did you happen to notice in the picture looking through the sights, that the rear sight is twisted counter clockwise and that the right side white dot (paint) in coming out.
