Not sure thats a smart move considering Wolff is stating the current springs are not compatible with the .22lr Sp101.
I realize this is just ass covering because of possible reliability issues, and that many people report good results, but it's a liability thing for the retailer.

Why? They're the same as their centrefire counterparts except for the calibre and the price is a bargain compared to a S&W.
because you can get a Taurus revolver with both 22LR and 22MAG cylinders (9 rounds each) for $100 less.

Now we need some speedloaders and loading blocks. Five star in the US has some in metal but the shipping cost is 1/3 the total cost.
...and Taurus rimfire revolvers seem to get a lot more negative reviews than the Ruger.
Taking care of customers is always a smart move.
Springs are cheap.
I contacted Wolf and got a lawyer speak liability explanation that they can't explain the issue....they did say that once they do some testing they will come out with a specific spring. Seems strange as the new model is no longer new (several years old) and no body likes the stock trigger pull.

Perhaps, but that extra $100 will buy you something much better and a $700 gun isn't really that expensive, anyway. I don't think Taurus offers anything with a 4.2" half-lugged barrel, either.
As for .22 Magnum, I don't see the point if small game/varmint shooting is not an option. I can reload .38 Special for less than the cost of .22 WMR ammo.
For that matter, you can likely find a used S&W Model 17 for a similar cost to the new Taurus. You will never wear it out from shooting and it will appreciate in value.

Taurus is junk.
From personal experience, and the constant threads in every single gun forum about the issues that come from Taurus.
I wouldn't take a Taurus .22lr revolver for free if you wanted to give me one.
More than happy with my Ruger...
