AICS fitment

Can any of you proud owners of a AICS for a Remington 700 short action tell me if a custom rifle with a oversize recoil lug will just drop in?
Will the recess for the recoil lug have to be enlarged? My recoil lug is .250" I think.
Thanks for any info.

I am pretty sure it will fit, I have to get mine opened up but the lug on my Nesika action is 5/16" and it was just slightly too small

Thanks arcstarter. Don't take your action out unless you were planning on doing it anyway.
Don't want to mess up your "zero" or anything. When you say your Nesika action is 5/16" and
it was just slightly too small, do you mean the Nesika lug was smaller than the mortise it was to go into
or do you mean the mortise was smaller than the Nesika lug.?
I used to wright policy blogs for the liberals and thats why I have a hard time saying what I
actually mean.

The Nesika action recoil lug was about 1/16 too big for the lug recess on the AICS and had to be machined bigger. your's should fit

Ok guys, thanks for the help. Looks like it will accept the .250 recoil lug.
