That is the fake SF switch. What he has on his pictured rifle looks like the SF lockout bolt. I don't see Brownells offers a dummy lockout bolt kit. Not sure why not since they carry the fake SF switch? Most USGI M14's in military service back in the day and currently in service never were fitted with the SF switch, but they all have the lockout bolt. That is if the lockout bolt was not removed completely when fitted with a new stock that did not have the selector switch cutout (e.g. moded to NM config).
 
Well, isn't THAT a fancy doo-dad ! (And I really must say I like that bipod.)
