Hello

I had taken my new sp-01 shadow line to the range on the weekend for the first time to try out and love it, this is my first pistol and happy with my choice so far. After cleaning the pistol I noticed some rattling after assembly, took it apart and put back to gather a few times, did not notice any thing obvious and the rattling remained. The only thing I can think of is that the guid rod is rattling even though I'm sure it's sitting properly. I also notice that that the Slide Stop does come away from the body of the pistol when cocked, I can push it so it flush but when cocked comes away a little and there a small gasp and it it states in this position and does not move, is this normal for these pistols or do I have some issues?

My Shadow had the slide stop fitment issue where it would always sit about 1mm away from the frame. That noise could be the metal guide rod. You sure it isn't the slide wiggling on the frame?

I seem to have started two threads, sorry ,please post in the other thread titled exactly the same. The rattle sounds the same when I manually move the guid rod around but I could be mistaken.

Although every body thinks the shadow are a tight gun they are not. If you actually measure the frame rail clearance they are rather loose. Strip all the lube off, assemble and give it a shake, it will really rattle. All three I have owned sound like a baby's rattle but lock up great.

I'm almost sure it's the metal guide rod, if I place a paper shim between the rod and the frame the rattling stops, is this normal on these pistols or is this an issue, if so what is the fix.
