Savage Releases New Axis II

Just looking on the Savage website and I see that they have released a new version of the Axis. Now with the Accutrigger and a Weaver Kaspa 3-9 scope, available in the youth and muddygirl models.

Exactly the same except the scope is a Weaver and the trigger is not the Accutrigger.

IF these new ones are the same price as the originals I'll get one. But if the price goes up at all then you might as well get a 111 model and get a slightly sturdier stock.

I saw on Facebook a Canadian dealer was offering them with camo for $450 plus tax and shipping. I'd rather spend the lil extra and get th 110/111 package

Best bet is to buy one in a black stock and add your own scope. They can be had for 299 to 309. If there is a better deal out there I have not seen it.

I agree. It's too bad Savage stopped making Stevens 200's.

If your going to make a new and improved version, why not start with putting a decent stock on it? The stock blows, the trigger isn't too bad and can be easily and cheaply improved.
