Boberg XR9-L.. Worthy of my gun safe?

"are not allowed no either carry or self defense"
Actually we ARE, i California carry around the house, and your allowed to use the appropriate amount of force for self defense no matter where you are...

Does anyone have the reloading for this pretty ladies figured out? They seems to pull the bullet out of the casing if the crimping is off.

This is the only thing stopping me from buying one. I understand these are self defines guns, for carry, and good ammo should be used and they work 100% BUT we in canuckistan are not allowed no either carry or self defense, so, if I buy this, it has to take the same bullets as my other pistols.

See my remarks on post #6 concerning store bought ammo and as for reloads, I used 4.3 gr of Win231 with 124 gr Berrys HBRN bullets and it worked perfectly. I just made sure the crimp was adequate as a poor crimp job could cause problems.

they all have aluminum frames

I could have been wrong but it only indicates aluminum frames on platinum and onyx. These two were also the only ones that have stated there is a coating. Might have been a YouTube review where I heard that it was a polymer frame on the 2 tone.....

Polymer frame would explain the price difference... But then again so does the coatings.

Worthy of the gun safe... absolutely... what a nice little pistol. PSP is definitely a different gun altogether, can't compare the two at all other than size completely different animals.
HK is HK... who can compare? :)

Boberg... COOL... very neat... trigger pull mentioned above... yeah... not great, not bad, changed mine out to the 6lb spring... nice now... like the little cap gun I had when I was a kid.

I've yet to shoot it but from what I've read on the subject, don't use cheap ammo... there's a little flag that comes with it saying not to use cheap (Wal-Mart) type ammo... If you reload, tighten up your crimp a little and you should not have a problem...

I love the look and feel of having a restricted pistol that's only slightly larger than a pack of Dentyne gum!

Just went out and blasted off 6 rounds... Wow... Excellent, great accuracy way better than any of my little prohibs...
Recoil... like a .22... No... more like a .380... it has a little bit of punch.

You can feel a little bit of a "snap" in your trigger finger that I would compare directly to the P7's....

All in all it felt good in my hand, very pointable, very accurate... I love it...

Garr.

thank you very much.
