WOW! Chrome and Two Tone Norinco 1911 IN STOCK!!!

Received my Pistol today

*EDITED TITLE, realized I had a angry face for some reason and no title*

I received my pistol today :)

It came with zombie targets, some CanAm targets, an issue of Calibre, and a m16 pen :) Fantastic and unexpected.

The service was great from CanAm as well.

Now on to the bad part....

It seems the slide is contacting the frame only on one side of the pistol. I noticed it out of the box because the slide had markings on it looking like the chrome didnt dry properly or was touched up.
I gave the gun a wipe down, and racked the slide a few times which showed it was definitely contacting the frame. :(

I do not think it will affect the functionality, but it is disappointing to have finish issues on a brand new gun which has never been fired, no less straight out of the box. On to some pictures....

One other big thing from this review... the trigger... my god is it stiff/heavy pull. I have another norinco 1911 gov't model from about 4 years ago, and it was never that stiff/heavy.
Hopefully some rounds downrange will work it in a little.

Great service again from CanAm, and not like they could see any type of finish defect like this through a plastic bag with an oil soaked gun, but disappointing to have blemishes like this on a brand new gun.

Based off this inital inspection, would I buy again, most definitely I would. I will try to post back with a range report if I manage to get out, but I think that is likely 3 weeks away.

Cheers!

And thanks to CanAm for bringing in great products at great prices! :)

I wouldn't worry about a few blems on a Nork... Pretty much the norm, perfect isn't a word in Chinese me thinks. ;-)

The trigger pull is rather heavy, and the front sight seems slightly canted to the right but im not fussed. Overall im rather impressed and the fit is tighter than i expected which is a bonus except for that loose trigger and that ambi safety was a nightmare to remove for the full breakdown. Picked up two of the dlask 8 round magazines with my purchase, i didn't get an ar pen however :( but the bundle of zombie targets and canada ammo targets was a very nice surprise. Looking forward to plinking at some zombie heads come the warmer weather.

I've got 5 Norincos of various types. The finish really isn't any worse than any of my other toys. My Norinco AR actually has a better finish than my two Olympic Arms ARs. And my Norinco two tone 1911 looks and shoots as well as any of my old 1911s that I used to have. I'm hoping I won't be disappointed with my new chromed model.

I'm a Norinco 1911 fan, having owned as many as 6 at one time and currently own 2 of their 1911's and a sig clone. I like them for what they are, mine always functioned fine and I enjoyed tweaking them and have done some extensive work to a few of them. I was excited when I read the title of the thread, but I gotta say now that I see the pics, these things look like they are spray painted silver, crappy finish, even for a Norc. I hope it's just the pics or lighting or something because I really wanted another :)

The pictures dont really show the finish well. Definitely doesn't look painted in person and I'm glad I went with the chrome plated vs the two tone.

Really? Perfection for $350 shipped to your door? I would assume perfection would cost a little more than that...

Noticed the same slide marks on my two tone upper after racking the slide.
The black paint comes off easily.
I'll give a range report when I can get out. It's an hour drive. :(

oh SOB, just added to cart and was going to checkout and error, out of stock.

Fack

Im still kicking myself for not buying the 1000 rounds and GI combo, didn't have the funds at the time but should've just put it on the cc as I was able to free up some cash but the combo was sold out by then. I made sure I didn't miss out on this deal and jumped on it when I saw the thread. My wallet hates this forum and can am emails haha

I got mine last night and took some pictures. I only gave it a quick wipe down with a rag. Today I put a few mags through it and no failures at all.

How were the sights? Did you need to make any crazy adjustments or was it pretty much on target? Hoping to get out to the range in the next couple weeks pending weather and money and after transfer it was shipped out three days later.
