WOW! Chrome and Two Tone Norinco 1911 IN STOCK!!!

BIG recommendation
before racking the slide field strip the gun and clean it, the slid is very gritty like sand paper, even after cleaning it its still gritty.
before putting it back together polish interior contact points, slide etc
than oil it up and it will slide much smoother.

Little bit of love goes a long way.
In the end after 20 min of cleaning and polishing its a good looking, smooth sliding, good shooter for $350. Believe it or not some guys run these in IPSC.

What's your favourite method of polishing?

A dremel with appropriate bit/disk, can use a bench grinder with appropriate buffer wheel etc.
Ask a rep at the store, explain what your trying to accomplish and they should sort you out with the appropriate dremel disk/bit, or grinder wheel needed.

important not to sand or grind as to not remove material, just want to smooth things out a bit where metal meets metal.

At risk of sounding simple, what's the appropriate bit?

After proper cleaning and lube! Just shoot these guns guy's!!! Keep them wet and get them warm, hot!! They will smooth out quite well after several hundred rounds. don't grind away any metal?? Some guys have used small amounts of valve lapping compound to speed up the breakin. Just regular stuff from Crappy Tire!!

Anyone happen to change out the front sight with a hi viz / fibre optic of any kind?

Just bumping this older thread to see if anyone has swapped the front sight? (yes with hi viz)
Is the cut on the slide some sort of standard cut? (other sights will fit easily?)

Cheers,
J.

Yep....has those awkward high profile fixed sights they have been using for a few years. Miles better then the old "low profile lucky if you can see them" sights they use to put on these...The LPA style looks be be the best sights ever put on a Nork to date

Anyone had issues with the rear sight adjustment? 2 of my friends have the chrome ones and they are way out of wack, the rear is all the way to the left and it wont adjust to the right at all like it was installed off center to begin with or something. Im not talking about the sight base but the adjustable rear portion with the 2 dots.

necro rezing this thread the chrome one is not like a mirror as i just found out its dull silver "chromium" i guess i learnt something new today off to the electro platers with it.
